I'yard hoping someone can help me or at to the lowest degree point me in the right management. My son is currently deployed on a ship and will exist there for the next 6+ months. Internet admission is spotty at best. I'm trying to figure out how I can download movies & TV shows (buy them) so save them on an external 1T hard drive and then mail the bulldoze to him. He has a Dell Inspiron laptop with him that he can use to watch the movies/Television set shows on.

Thank you,

So the thing with modern buying of movies, is that these movies are tied to the business relationship yous bought them for, so are stuck with rights management. There is no uncomplicated style to just buy a movie and copy it to a bulldoze unless you buy the DVD/BluRay and and then use ripping software to copy the flick to the disk. A lot of people practise this with their home collections though. I accept all of my stuff on a drive in MP4 or AVI (Divx) format so I can play them anywhere. It will require a bunch of time though, get the disk, copy the deejay, and you probably desire to catechumen the disk to some other format to save space, peculiarly for BluRays.

You lot can download and salvage movies with Amazon, Netflix and others, but you will need a device signed into that account to play them back. So an option may exist to purchase a tablet, download the things to it, so he would demand to authenticate the account where he is, and and then he tin view the downloaded media. Benefit at that place is that the media is on the device, so you just need a weak/short time bespeak of net access to logon. If he has some sort of internet access, fifty-fifty slower or temporary, that would work. I do this on my long rides with family, download some stuff at home, then information technology works with no cyberspace for a while. At some point, you volition need to logon again to re-activate the shows/movies to the business relationship, non sure how long that is just I'chiliad pretty sure only every few days.

No, you can't copy them later yous download them, yous need to send the device yous downloaded them to. Which is why sending a tablet with the movies on information technology would work.
